WHY WE BELIEVE IN IT
This is why

- Aluminium is a natural material. The earth’s metal is the third most common element, so aluminum occurs almost everywhere. An incredible 8 % of the Earth’s crust consists of aluminium. Of course, the industrial processes required to produce aluminium damages the environment but the effects of this can be kept to a minimum. When looking at the environmental impact of a product over its life cycle, aluminium is often considered one of the more ecologically sound alternatives compared to other materials.
- Aluminium is easy to process, extremely wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and virtually maintenance-free. It is also far lighter than other metals with comparable properties.
AT A GLANCE
Advantages of aluminium
We produce our in-vehicle racking systems entirely from aluminium and intend to continue to do so in the future. Aluminium offers an enormous number of advantages:

LOW WEIGHT
Aluminium is three times lighter than steel and has a perfect strength-to-weight ratio. That is why aluminium is used for the most challenging jobs in the transport industry, on the railways and in the aerospace sector.

HIGH STRENGTH
The aluminium alloys used by ALUCA have the strength of construction steel and are twice as strong as fibre-reinforced plastic, four times stronger than thermoplastics and ten times stronger than plywood.

CORROSION
Aluminium is a very resistant material which forms an oxide layer on the bare metal shortly after manufacture which prevents corrosion. An ideal material for a long service life, even in tough and humid environments.

TORSION
Typical torsion of the bodywork is absorbed by the firmly attached aluminium components and does not place a load on the connection points of the vehicle. This advantage contributes to the longevity of ALUCA products, especially on building sites and in off-road areas.

RECYCLING
Aluminium is a valuable raw material. When recycled properly 100 % of the product can be reused. For petroleum-based materials, we speak of “downcycling” because only lower-value products can be created from the recovered raw material.
