In the centre of Paris, at Avenue des Champs-Elysées 42, is Citroën’s legendary flagship showroom C_42. Its glass façade shields an international meeting place and a unique showroom that embodies the spirit of creative technology. The exhibitions trace the history of Citroën and its visions for the future of the automobile. Current and historic vehicles and concept cars are presented at monthly intervals on each light-flooded level. Until the end of June 2017, vehicle outfitter ALUCA will present its underfloor “dimension 2” solution in the new Citroën Jumpy – a true space miracle of aluminium design. “Très chic”!
Whether a workshop or leisure vehicle, there is room on board for up to six people,[nbsp] while the load area can be as large as 4 cubic meters, depending on the version.[nbsp] ALUCA dimension2 converts the new Citroën Jumpy van with a six-seater double cab into a space wonder with storage space for machines, tools and consumables, and room for larger loads.
With dimension 2, valuable machinery and tools can easily be stored and protected from theft in large, lockable drawers (up to 114 cm long) underneath a second, high load-bearing floor/cover plate.[nbsp] The remaining storage area floor space is fully available above these drawers. Loads up to 700 kg can be tied down quickly on the cover plate.[nbsp] A built-in module from the classic ALUCA system can also be installed.Small and[nbsp] spare parts can be arranged in an ALUCA rack which can also incorporate the ALUCA BOXX system.[nbsp] These professional plastic BOXXes simplify everyday mobile work procedures and keep tools and small parts on view and to hand on site or at customer premises.
The user-friendly, large-capacity drawers are easy to load and unload outside the vehicle. Even at 114 cm long, the precisely made, heavy-duty draws which can take loads up to 80 kg glide almost silently, Berend Veijer from ALUCA International Sales points out. In order to ensure high product quality in the long term, conversion specialist ALUCA manufactures its vehicle equipment exclusively at the Rosengarten location in Southern Germany. The 100% aluminium construction makes the equipment ultra light-weight – the entire dimension 2 equipment and the equipment block in the Citroën Jumpy weigh in at only 106 kg, following the maxim “aluminium from conviction”.
